|Chivalry isn't dead...

So, I figured I might as well get around to sharing my little Wizard World story before I go pass out again from being sick. I'll probably put more details in this later, as well as eventually scan the stuff that I got signed but at the moment I have a crappy computer and am feeling equally as crappy so I'll just share my story about meeting Kristen Bell.
Let me just say, this girl is completely adorable. I can't even find the words to describe it really. She's a total sweetheart and probably one of the prettiest people that I've ever seen up close. She was spending a lot of time talking to all the fans in the line and just seemed so genuinely greatful and interested in what everyone had to say and just wanting to talk to everyone. I think I might be even more in love with her now and I didn't even think that was possible.
My cousin Erin didn't have enough money to get a Kristen autograph, but she really wanted to meet her. In order to go through the line you had to have something to get signed. I had purchased two autograph tickets, one for my Pulse poster that I got from work back in February (which, I didn't notice until after I got it signed but the poster is such an old print that it has July 14th listed as the release date), and an 8x10 picture that I printed out on high quality photo paper of Veronica and Troy. Which was an adventure to get printed in itself, since my printer is dead, and I couldn't get anyone to print it for me since it's a copyrighted image. Eventually, I was able to get it printed out at a Walgreen's by lying to the little old lady behind the photo counter, which I felt sort of bad about but... the picture is so shiny. :[
So anyway, Erin went before me, because I always make her go first, and she talked to Kristen about how excited she was to see Pulse since she's a big fan of the original Japanese version. They both kind of talked about some differences and similarities between the two for a little bit. Then it was my turn.
So the PA slides over my 8x10 and Kristen just kind of looks at it all surprised and goes, "Troy!" Then looks up at me all smiles and goes, "You must be an Aaron Ashmore fan!". Which... anyone who remotely knows me would know that is probably the understatement of the year. So then, without prompting or anything, she just started to talk about Aaron and about how great he is and how she loved working with him. She told me that he was one of the sweetest guys she had ever met. This was just, a completey surreal experience, essentially fangirling with Kristen Bell about Aaron Ashmore for literally close to five minutes or so. She then went on to say how she really hopes that Troy will be coming back this year and how she was excited to do "The Rapes of Graff" last year since it seemed to be setting up for it. I told her I had my fingers crossed for it too, but since he has Smallville now it didn't seem like it would happen. She kind of pouted at that which was -- again -- freaking adorable. Then I mention how he's been doing all these interviews recently though about how much he loves the character of Troy and, all they would have to do is ask, and he'd be back like that. And she just perked up at that and goes, "Really? He said that? That's kind of great! I didn't know that."
A lot more was said and everything but, this brief meeting already seems to be too long of a post and I think I'm going to go lay down for a few, so I'll just leave it at that. But let me just say, squee, Kristen Bell. And squee Aaron Ashmore fangirlness. <33 Troy.
